Job Opportunity: RN - Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, Newborn

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Seeking a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) for a float pool position in Obstetrics. The nurse may be assigned to Antenatal or Postpartum units based on staffing needs.

  • Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours every other week (3x12 EOW), every other holiday (EOH)
  • Must have at least 2 years of relevant clinical and OB nursing experience
  • Required skillset includes both Antenatal and Postpartum care

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Massachusetts
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience
  • Minimum 2 years of Postpartum nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Labor and Delivery experience

Health and Compliance Requirements

  • Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity
  • TB test within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) and updated if break >6 months
  • Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity preferred
  • Tdap vaccination within last 10 years preferred
  • Physician health statement within 1 year of start date
  • N95 Fit Test within 1 year of start date and updated annually (no exemptions allowed)
  • Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
  • Criminal background check, CORI, SSN trace, national sex offender check, and exclusion checks completed and updated as required
  • Submission of professional references (2 references within 4 years, including at least 1 supervisor)
  • Completion of skills checklist within 1 year of submission
  • Resume including last 7 years of work experience with city and state

Additional Notes

  • Must submit a professional badge photo (color, recent, plain background, no filters or glasses)
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
  • Assignments may require flexibility to float between Antenatal and Postpartum units

This position is ideal for experienced OB RNs looking for a flexible float pool role with a focus on antenatal and postpartum care in a hospital setting.
