Description
Registered Nurse - Case Management
Location: Brownsville, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, 40 hours per week
- Weekend rotation required
- Unit: Case Management
- Number of Beds: 214
- Number of Staff on Unit: 11
- Patient Ratios: 25-30 patients per nurse
- Equipment used: Computer, immobile equipment, fax, printer
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech, Midas, Careport
Typical Duties
- Discharge planning
- Care coordination
- Utilization review and Interqual experience required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Case Management as an RN, with experience within the last year
- Experience with discharge planning
- Utilization review experience, including InterQual
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Meditech EMR system
