Description

Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Neuroscience Blended Unit PCU

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Work on a neuroscience blended unit (Progressive Care Unit - PCU)
  • Strong neuroscience experience required
  • Locals allowed at the same rate
  • Every Other Weekend (EOW) schedule and 2 holidays per contract as applicable

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
  • Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Neuro Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience working in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting

Additional Notes

  • Fingerprinting and CPS (Central Registry) checks required for certain pediatric, NICU, behavioral health, and labor & delivery units; results may pend but proof of submission must be on file prior to start
  • Candidates must complete Virginia Central Registry submission within 48 hours of contract signing; may start with results pending if submission proof is provided
  • No onsite certification renewals; renewals must be scheduled prior to contract start
  • Candidates should be prepared to bring a mask (cloth acceptable), non-wireless headphones, and a laptop or cell phone to orientation (note if candidate does not have a device)

Prior Travel Experience

  • No explicit prior travel experience required
