Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location

• City: Peoria, Illinois

Job Description

• Perform general CT scanning procedures, including starting IVs.
• Use of GE brand CT scanners.
• Work with electronic medical records and imaging systems including EPIC and McKesson PACS.
• Expected to function in a fast-paced, high-acuity, high-volume environment.
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred.
• No floating or coverage of other areas required.

Schedule

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each.
• Day shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, every fourth weekend with holiday rotation.
• Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, every third weekend with holiday rotation.
• No call or standby required.
• Holiday work is not mandatory but may be available if desired.

Orientation and Training

• 2 weeks of orientation (3 twelve-hour shifts) with dedicated training support before working independently.

Department Information

• Radiology / CT Department with 5 GE CT scanners.
• Facility size: 640 beds.
• Dress code: Normal scrubs, solid colors or some prints acceptable.

Required Qualifications

• ARRT (CT) certification.
• Illinois Emergency Medical Agency (IEMA) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with GE CT equipment.
• Ability to start IVs.
• Level 1 trauma experience.
• Prior travel experience is required.

Contract Length

• Approximately 20 weeks.

This position is suitable for experienced CT Technologists who meet the certification and experience requirements and are comfortable working in a busy hospital radiology department.
