Location: Matthews, North Carolina

Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a CT Tech with experience in Radiology/Cardiology for a busy outpatient and emergency department setting. The position requires proficiency with Siemens equipment and involves working adult acute care, ICU, and emergency department patients across all age groups from neonates to geriatrics.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
- Experience in adult acute care, ICU, and emergency department settings
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PACS equipment
- Skills in colorectal studies (rectal contrast), heart imaging, 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), region of interest (ROI)
- Special procedures experience including aspirations, biopsies, brain perfusion, CT arthrography, drainage, myelography
Work Details
- Shift: 40 hours per week, 8-hour evening shifts (1:30 PM – 10:00 PM)
- Contract length: 13 weeks (interpreted as 13 weeks)
- Call: None
- Float: None
- Weekend: Possible 8-hour shift on Saturday or Sunday with 2-week notice if coverage is needed
- Patient Age Group: Neonates, Infants, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
- Patient Diagnoses: All types
- Unit Systems: EPIC
- Orientation: 16 hours of unit orientation (10 AM – 6:30 PM), with ongoing support from experienced techs
- Scrubs: Not provided; Royal Blue color recommended
Additional Information
- Orientation attendance is mandatory; missing any portion may delay or cancel the start date
- Start dates may vary based on class and trainer availability; travelers must be fully available with no other commitments during orientation week
- Maximum 7 days of time off allowed after booking (RTO)
- No call-offs or additional time off allowed onsite without risk of cancellation
- Interpreter services available via iPad and Zoom if needed
Required Documentation & Compliance
Candidates must complete and provide:
- Background checks (within 6 months for clinical roles)
- Drug testing (9-panel, within 6 months)
- Immunizations and health screenings including TB test, Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella, and seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption
- Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, and others as applicable
- Competency exams including Dysrhythmia/EKG competency for relevant specialties
- Facility-specific documents including confidentiality agreements, medication safety training, and annual compliance training
- Photo for badge (passport style, business attire, white background) required immediately after signing contract
- Completion of Non-Novant Health Worker Orientation modules (8-10 hours for acute candidates)
Patient Care Environment
- Busy outpatient and emergency department schedule
- Exposure to a wide range of patient diagnoses and age groups
- Use of Siemens CT equipment exclusively
