Description

Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

Seeking a Registered Nurse with a skill level of 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular specialties. This position is in the Operating Room and requires broad surgical knowledge with experience in multiple service lines including general surgery, gynecology, robotics, neurology, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma.

The unit uses Cerner for documentation and requires a variable schedule with on-call duties. Floating to other departments may be required.


Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in North Carolina
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS
  • Experience in Orthopedics, Neurology, and Vascular Surgery

  • Facility has 815 beds
  • Patient ratios are 1:1
  • Scrubs are provided by the facility
  • Procedures performed on the unit are variable
  • Must be comfortable with a variable schedule and call requirements
  • May float to other departments as needed
