Job Opportunity: MRI Technologist

Employment Type: Contractor
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Perform MRI imaging primarily for inpatient and outpatient adults.
• Case types include neuro, spine, tumor workups, cord compression, cardiac imaging, breast, enterography, abdominal, whole body, ortho, and spectroscopy.
• Work in a Level III Trauma Center and Acute Stroke Ready Center environment.
• Unit has 1 MRI suite with an average daily census of 9 patients on weekends and 17 on weekdays.
• No floating assignments.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
• Completion of at least one travel assignment.
• Licenses/Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • ARRT-MR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - Magnetic Resonance)
• Experience with Epic EMR system.

Work Schedule

• No on-call duties.
• May be scheduled for some holidays.
• Shift examples:

  • Week 1: Onboarding shifts Monday and Tuesday 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM; Friday 11:00 AM - 9:30 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM.
  • Week 2-13: Rotating shifts including evenings and weekends.

Support and Environment

• Supported by RT, Imaging Assistant, and multiple MRI tech teammates on weekdays; 1 MRI tech plus assistant on weekends.
• 24/7 hospitalist coverage.
• Orientation includes a New Employee Orientation (NEO) and 1 shift of unit-specific orientation.
• Equipment includes Siemens Aera MRI and Change Healthcare PACS.
• EMR system: EPIC.
