Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Olney, Maryland
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in Labor and Delivery (L&D) unit.
• Laboring nurses are expected to assist with Postpartum patients as needed.
• Work schedule includes every other weekend and every other holiday.
• On-call requirement: 8 hours per 6-week scheduling period.
• Scrubs are provided.
• The facility is designated as a Baby Friendly Organization.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).

Additional Requirements

• Complete facility-specific modules (SITELS) prior to start date.
• Valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function.
• I9 and E-Verify documentation required upon hire.
• Photo for badge with specific guidelines (clear, centered, no glare, solid background).
• Annual acknowledgment of orientation safety manual.
• On-call availability as specified.

Scheduling & Work Environment

• Night shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each.
• Every other weekend and holiday required.
• On-call 8 hours per 6-week period.
• Baby Friendly Organization standards apply.

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs with prior travel nursing experience seeking a 13-week night shift contract in Maryland.
