Registered Nurse (Vascular Surgery) - Illinois
Location
- City: Peoria, IL
Contract Length
- 13 weeks

Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience, including Endovascular (IR procedures) and Vascular cases
- Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
- BLS (AHA) Certification required
- Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus policy)
Job Details
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week (typically 4x10 shifts)
- Scrubbing required; hospital provides scrubs
- EMR system: EPIC
- Call requirements:
- Weekend call every 3rd weekend (from 7 AM Saturday to 7 AM Monday)
- Holiday call rotation
- Call response time: 30 minutes
- Floating: May be required to float to other surgical teams and IR team
- Orientation: Unit-specific orientation includes scrubbing with a hospital surgical tech for one week; 12 non-billable orientation hours
Work Environment
- Average of 3 cases per day in a single-suite OR, with plans for unit growth
- Charge nurse and house supervisor present on each shift
- OR techs available on shift
Additional Notes
- Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles
- Call off policy allows 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty
