Job Opportunity: X-Ray Tech

Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Details

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Shift: Night shift, Monday through Thursday, 11:00 PM to 9:30 AM (4x10 hour shifts)
  • On-call: Yes, 3 shifts per month
  • Floating: No floating between units
  • Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care
  • Total Beds: 536
  • Charting System: Epic
  • Parking: No fee

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Radiology Technologist license in Oregon
  • Minimum 1 year of Radiology Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience as an X-Ray Technician

Additional Requirements

  • Skills Checklist: Required for applicable units, updated annually
  • Radiation Badge: Issued by facility for applicable units (informational only)
  • Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with neutral background required for badge issuance
  • WorkRamp Modules:
    • Completion of required regulatory and specialty-specific training modules prior to start and annually thereafter
    • Modules assigned based on region, specialty, and facility requirements
  • Float Policy Acknowledgement: Required (may be asked to float to other nearby facilities)

Notes

  • No weekend shifts required.
  • 48-hour shifts are not approved.
  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
  • All certifications and background checks must be current and verifiable before start.
  • Candidates must be prepared to comply with all health and safety protocols, including immunizations and respirator clearance.

This position offers an opportunity to work in a well-established acute care hospital with a focus on radiology and cardiology services during night shifts. The role requires strong clinical skills, adherence to compliance and credentialing standards, and the ability to work independently during overnight hours.
