Description

Job Opportunity: Neuro ICU Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Issaquah, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 26 weeks (approximately 6 months)
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (5 days x 8 hours = 40 hours/week)


Job Description

  • Work with stroke patient population at a certified Stroke Center.
  • Experience with stroke program and stroke protocols required.
  • Role involves heavy chart audits, data abstraction, and compliance with stroke guidelines (AHA - Get with the Guidelines).
  • Use Epic system extensively for chart abstraction and data tracking.
  • No direct hands-on patient care; focus is on ensuring workflow adherence for stroke protocols.
  • May float to Cherry Hill and Redmond locations.
  • Candidates with ER or neuro inpatient experience may be considered if stroke coordinator experience is lacking (subject to manager review).
  • Must have experience with code response.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
  • Minimum of 1 year of Neuro ICU experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Experience with stroke patient care and stroke program protocols
  • Familiarity with American Heart Association (AHA) - Get with the Guidelines
  • Proficient in Epic electronic health record system
