CT Technologist Position
Location: Newton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: 08:00 AM – 06:30 PM
Job Summary
- Perform a variety of Computed Tomography (CT) procedures under supervision using prescribed ionizing radiation levels.
- Operate imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images of specified body parts.
- Provide care to patients ranging from newborn to geriatric.
- Able to insert and remove IVs.
- Follow all federal, state, local, and facility policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Massachusetts.
- Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year.
- ARRT certification.
- Radiology Technologist experience.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Required Credentials and Compliance
- BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military accepted; AHA preferred).
- Primary source verification of professional license/certification within 30 days of start date; MA Conditional Licenses not accepted.
- N95 Fit Test within 365 days of start date, updated annually; no exemptions allowed.
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required.
- Documentation of MMR immunity or vaccination.
- TB screening documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if break >6 months.
- Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if break >6 months.
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months.
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start, updated if break >6 months.
- National Sex Offender Registry check within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Exclusion checks (OIG, GSA, MassHealth, NH Medicaid) within 30 days prior to start, updated annually.
- Verification of highest level of education achieved.
- Social Security Number trace for past 7 years.
- Submission of a detailed resume including 7 years of work experience with city and state.
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher.
- Completion of a skills checklist within 1 year of submission.
- Completion of required orientation and attestation prior to onboarding.
- Confirmation of assignment form required upon acceptance and for any start date changes.
Additional Information
- Positive TB test requires documentation of a negative chest X-ray after the positive test.
- Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity is strongly preferred but optional.
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years preferred.
- Name change documentation required if credentials do not match legal name.
Experience and Travel Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of radiology experience required.
- No explicit prior travel experience required.
