Description
Nurse Navigator - Travel/Contract Position
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) or 4x10 hours (40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
- Work schedule: No weekends or holidays
- Work setting: Ambulatory clinic, preferred specialty in Cardiology
- Responsibilities include patient assessments, interpretation of laboratory results, cardiovascular care, medication administration, and office duties such as chart preparation, disability forms, telephone triage, and follow-up calls
- Scrub color: Cranberry/Wine
- Flu vaccine required annually
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia
- Minimum of 3 years of Nurse Navigator experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Cardiology experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Cardiology and Family Care clinic experience preferred
- Skills in cardiovascular assessments and office duties
Additional Requirements
- Valid driver’s license if driving is an essential job function
- I9 and E-Verify documentation required prior to hire
- Photo for badge meeting facility specifications
- Background checks and attestations must be completed and updated as required
- Annual recertifications and compliance with facility policies
Notes
- First-time travel nurses accepted
- Prior travel experience is not required for this position
- Strict flu vaccine policy with limited exemptions
- All certifications and documentation must be current and verifiable before start date
