Nurse Navigator - Travel/Contract Position

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 5x8 hours (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) or 4x10 hours (40 hours/week)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work schedule: No weekends or holidays
• Work setting: Ambulatory clinic, preferred specialty in Cardiology
• Responsibilities include patient assessments, interpretation of laboratory results, cardiovascular care, medication administration, and office duties such as chart preparation, disability forms, telephone triage, and follow-up calls
• Scrub color: Cranberry/Wine
• Flu vaccine required annually

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the District of Columbia
• Minimum of 3 years of Nurse Navigator experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Cardiology experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Cardiology and Family Care clinic experience preferred
• Skills in cardiovascular assessments and office duties

Additional Requirements

• Valid driver’s license if driving is an essential job function
• I9 and E-Verify documentation required prior to hire
• Photo for badge meeting facility specifications
• Background checks and attestations must be completed and updated as required
• Annual recertifications and compliance with facility policies

Notes

• First-time travel nurses accepted
• Prior travel experience is not required for this position
• Strict flu vaccine policy with limited exemptions
• All certifications and documentation must be current and verifiable before start date

This position offers a structured day shift with no weekend or holiday work, focused on ambulatory cardiology nursing with a strong emphasis on clinical and administrative skills.
