Job Opportunity: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel/Contract
Location
- Cleveland, Ohio

Work Schedule
- Night shift
- 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
- Total 48 hours per week

Required Qualifications
- Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Ohio
- Current NBRC credential
- Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
Certifications
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA only (AHA RQI acceptable, non-RQI preferred)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - AHA only (required for Emergency Department roles)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - AHA/AAP only (required if working in NICU/Pediatric roles)
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Pre-employment physical exam within 1 year confirming ability to safely perform job functions
- Negative 2-step PPD or equivalent TB test within 6 months, renewed annually; chest x-ray required if prior positive TB test
- Annual TB symptom assessment and TB questionnaire if history of positive TB
- Fit mask test within 12 months, updated annually (specific approved N95 masks required; facial hair may require shaving or exemption)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 12 months, updated annually (dilute results allowed one retest; instant drug screens not accepted)
- Immunization or titer proof for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or signed declination)
- Varicella
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 31 - Mar 31); no declinations accepted
Background and Screening
- Criminal background check (FCRA compliant 7-year search including SSN trace, nationwide criminal, sex offender, OFAC, FACIS)
- FBI and BCI fingerprinting within 12 months prior to start; must be completed ASAP (results required before onboarding)
- Monthly EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Verification of diploma/transcript required
- I9/E-Verify attestation required
Onboarding and Training
- Completion of facility-specific online training modules (4-5 hours, must be done on a computer using Chrome; videos must be watched fully before testing)
- Unit-specific competency exam within 12 months of start, updated annually
- Unit-specific skills checklist, updated annually
- Badge photo required prior to start; badge must be obtained from facility after completing modules
- TB test results required to complete onboarding modules
Additional Notes
- Candidates working with pediatric patients (RRT-NICU) will complete fingerprinting onsite during onboarding
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
