CT Tech - Radiology

Location: Asheville, North Carolina

Unit Information

• Unit: CT Imaging
• Number of Beds: 800
• Staff per Shift:

  • Day Shift: 5 Technologists + Supervisor
  • Evening Shift: 4-5 Technologists + Radiology Assistant
  • Night Shift: 2-3 Technologists + Radiology Assistant
• Equipment: GE Optima, 3 GE EVO, GE Revolution, Medrad Injectors
• EMR Systems: Cerner Rad Net, Phillips PACs

Job Responsibilities & Procedures

• Perform all areas of CT imaging including diagnostic scans and invasive procedures
• Imaging in Emergency Department trauma and stroke cases
• Typical procedures include neuro, musculoskeletal (MSK), body imaging, invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and pediatric imaging

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
• ARRT (R) Certification required
• BLS Certification required

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GE equipment
• Skills in invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and venipuncture

Work Environment & Schedule

• Dress Code: Black scrubs
• Possible weekend shifts
• Potential rotation to other shifts
• On-call requirement: up to 12 hours per month
