Cath Lab Technologist – Illinois, Peoria
Job Details
- Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Days
- Hours: 10 hours per day, 4 days per week (40 hours/week)
- Schedule: Rotating weekends, holidays, and weekly on-call shifts (8-9 call shifts per month)
- Call Response Time: 30 minutes from time of page
- Orientation: 3 to 5 days, plus 12 non-billable orientation hours
- Scrubs: Provided by hospital
- Floating: Not required
Work Environment
- 6 cath lab suites/labs
- 10 to 15 cases per day on average
- Cardiologists on call 24/7
- Primary charge nurse on shift 06:00–15:30 (does not routinely complete cases but takes call)
- Mandatory call list used if staff cannot fulfill call shifts
Job Duties
- Scrub procedures
- Monitor hemodynamics
- Circulating during cases
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- IEMA (Illinois Emergency Management Agency)
- Active Illinois license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
Experience & Skills
- Previous cath lab experience required
- Pediatric cath lab experience preferred but not required
- Experience with McKesson cardiology PACS preferred but not required
- Familiarity with EPIC EMR system
Additional Requirements
- Must produce a negative drug screen for all panels (drug-free campus)
- Local placements accepted within a 50-mile radius of the facility
