Description

Case Manager (Registered Nurse) - Travel/Contract

Location: Everett, Washington
Contract Length: 12 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days a week (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)
Hours: 40 hours per week (72 guaranteed hours per 2-week period)
Weekends: Every other weekend required
Start Date: ASAP
Locals Accepted: No
Floating: Required to float between units including multiple campuses within close proximity


Job Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington
  • Minimum 1 year of case management experience within the last year
  • Experience in acute care settings
  • Experience with discharge planning and care management
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Facility & Work Environment

  • Level II Trauma Center
  • Total staffed beds: 571 across campuses
  • Charting system: EPIC
  • Scrub color: Any except reddish orange
  • Parking: Facility paid

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

  • Background Checks:
    • Comprehensive background check within 90 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start, updated monthly
    • State-specific searches including Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) within 90 days
    • Education verification required for all candidates (international education requires additional documentation)
  • Health Documents:
    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations and screenings:
      • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
      • Tdap vaccine within 10 years or declination
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Seasonal flu vaccine during flu season or declination
      • COVID vaccination record preferred (declinations accepted)
    • Drug screening: 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (instant tests acceptable with attestation)
    • Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates
    • Fit mask testing required annually for travel candidates (not required for sterile processing techs)
  • References: Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
  • Employment Application: Must include at least last 5 years of employment with explanations for gaps or overlaps
  • Skills Checklists: Required annually for applicable units

Training & Competency

  • Completion of required WorkRamp modules including:
    • Annual regulatory requirements
    • Specialty-specific modules for ER, L&D, leadership roles, hospice/home health, and assisted living as applicable
    • Regional core and specialty-specific modules based on location and specialty
  • EPIC training modules required and must be completed promptly after access is granted
  • Medication and pharmacology competency exams as applicable
  • Color blindness testing if required by unit

Additional Notes

  • Floating policy acknowledgment required due to potential assignment across multiple facilities
  • Passport-style badge photo required prior to start
  • Pending license holders accepted with proper documentation
  • Candidates must comply with all facility-specific and state-specific credentialing and compliance requirements

This position offers a travel contract opportunity for a Registered Nurse Case Manager with acute care and discharge planning experience, working in a Level II Trauma Center environment with a diverse patient population and multiple hospital campuses.
