Description
Cardiac Cath Lab Tech
Location: Santa Fe, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:30 AM - 5:30 PM)
Start Date: ASAP
Weekend Requirement: Yes
On-Call Requirement: 10 out of 12 days per month, including weekends
Job Summary
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures as requested by physicians.
- Provide patient care during procedures and obtain diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by Radiologists/Cardiologists.
- Operate and maintain imaging and department equipment according to protocols and manufacturer recommendations.
- Ensure radiation protection for patients, coworkers, and self.
- Maintain documentation, supplies, and cleanliness in the work area.
- Exhibit professional and courteous behavior toward patients, visitors, physicians, and staff.
- Stay current with cardiovascular and interventional technology through continuing education.
- Provide after-hours coverage on an on-call basis.
- Perform various Point of Care testing procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiology Technologist within the last year.
- Experience as a Cath Lab Technologist and Radiology Technologist.
- ARRT certification.
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Work Schedule
- Full-time, 4 days per week, 10-hour shifts.
- Includes weekend and on-call responsibilities.
