Vascular Tech Travel Opportunity
Location: Bossier City, Louisiana
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Perform advanced cardiac and vascular circulation diagnostic exams using echo, ultrasound, and/or Doppler equipment. Exams include cerebral, peripheral, and abdominal vessels to assist physicians in diagnosing circulatory disorders. May perform therapeutic procedures such as pseudoaneurysm compression and assist with biopsies, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and needle localization. Additional ultrasound procedures may include routine abdominal, small parts, breast, OB/GYN, and other vascular exams depending on the department.
Work Schedule
- Shift varies: 8 or 12-hour shifts
- Possible shift times: 7:00 AM–7:30 PM, 7:00 AM–5:30 PM, or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Full-time
- Weekend work required
- On-call required with own transportation
- Floating between two campuses
Patient Population
- Inpatient
- Outpatient
- Emergency Room (ER)
Required Qualifications
- Vascular Technologist with at least 1 year of experience, including experience within the last year
- Registered Vascular Specialist (RSV) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) credential from ARDMS, CCI, or ARRT
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
Additional Information
- Nurse/patient ratio: approximately 10-15 patients per day
- Temp-to-perm possibility available
