Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - Acute Rehab
Location: Charlestown, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (LTA)
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule:
- 36 hours per week preferred, with option for 48 hours
- Four 12-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Every other weekend required

Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
- Minimum of 1 year of rehabilitation nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Onboarding and Compliance Requirements
- Professional Credentials:
- Submission of a detailed resume covering the past 7 years of work experience including city and state.
- Two professional references within the last 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher in the relevant skillset.
- Completion of a skills checklist within 1 year of submission.
- Criminal background check, including Massachusetts CORI, national sex offender registry, exclusion checks, and SSN trace, all updated as required.
- Education verification of highest degree achieved.
- Confirmation of assignment form upon acceptance and for any extensions.
- Health and Safety:
- Fit testing for N95 respirator within 365 days prior to start and updated annually (no exemptions allowed).
- Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit testing is required.
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella).
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date, updated if there is a break longer than 6 months.
- Physician health statement signed by MD/DO/NP/PA within 365 days of start date, updated if break exceeds 6 months.
- Strongly preferred Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity.
- Tdap vaccination within the last 10 years preferred.
- Additional Checks:
- Nurse Aide Registry check within 30 days of start (required by Massachusetts Department of Public Health for all employees).
- Criminal background and CORI checks must be vetted for any records with final decisions made by security.
Work Environment
- Acute rehabilitation setting requiring skilled nursing care.
- Shift work includes long 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage every other week.
This position is suitable for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in acute rehabilitation who meet Massachusetts licensing and credentialing requirements and are comfortable with a long-term contract and shift work schedule.
