Description
Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse - MS/Telemetry
Location
- Titusville, Florida

Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- Day shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM to 7:00 PM)
- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- No block scheduling allowed
- Mandatory 5 shifts (36-40 hours) for clinical orientation week
- No Return to Office (RTO) during the first or last week of assignment
Unit and Patient Care
- Mixed unit with high acuity patients
- Patient ratio experience required: 1:6
- Floating required within scope of practice
- Rapid Response team experience required
- Experience with total joint patients required
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Registered Nurse experience in specialty
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
Licensure and Certifications
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Florida
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience, including telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
- Rapid Response team experience
- Experience with total joint patients
Orientation and Training
- Must complete facility-specific clinical orientation week (mandatory 5 shifts)
- Completion of assigned eLearning modules prior to start (approximately 4 hours)
- Facility-specific job description and orientation quizzes must be completed promptly
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exams required with passing score of 84% or higher
- Color Blind Testing online required with minimum 80% score
Additional Requirements
- Must be willing to float within the facility as needed
- Must adhere to strict attendance policies (3 call outs result in termination)
- Must provide two professional references within two years of start date
- Performance evaluation within the last year required if previously worked through any agency
- Background check within 6 months including social security trace, education verification, and nationwide checks
- Florida AHCA Level II fingerprint clearance required prior to start (Livescan electronic fingerprinting)
- Physical exam within 6 months of start date
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- 9-panel drug screen within 3 months of start (instant tests not accepted)
- Required vaccinations or documented declinations for COVID, flu, Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella
- Facility-specific vaccination declination and exemption forms must be completed if applicable
