Job Opportunity: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Assignment

Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel

Shift: Days, rotating schedule (5:30 AM – 6:00 PM)

Job Description

• Provide respiratory therapies including oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and ventilator management.
• Conduct patient assessments and monitor responses to respiratory treatments, including pharmacological interventions.
• Perform and document Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) punctures accurately and report results promptly.
• Follow respiratory protocols and safety guidelines during all procedures.
• Manage ventilator settings and airway maintenance to ensure patient comfort and safety.
• Assist physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures such as arterial line insertion, intubations, pulmonary function studies, cardiac and pulmonary stress tests, and blood gases.
• Deliver medicated aerosols via medical compressed gas and maintain airways.
• Provide timely diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary services to inpatients and outpatients.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Respiratory Care Practitioner license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, including experience within the last year
• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NRP certification
