- Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
- Weekend coverage every other weekend
- Required to float within units of equivalent or lower acuity
Job Description
- Clinical Nurse Coordinator role in outpatient oncology infusion center
- Required skills: Biotherapy, Chemotherapy, IV Therapy/Infusions, Medication Administration, Oncologic Emergencies, IV push narcotic agents, Isolation and Neutropenic Precautions, Symptom management
- Preferred skills: Phlebotomy, Previous Charge Experience
- Work settings required: Infusion Center, Outpatient oncology
- Work settings preferred: Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT), Inpatient oncology
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in District of Columbia
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Hematology/Oncology nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in an outpatient setting with infusion experience
- Completion of at least one prior travel nursing assignment
- Certifications required:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC)
- Chemotherapy certification from Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) or Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation (ONCC)
Additional Notes
- Must complete facility-specific orientation modules prior to start
- Photo for badge required (clear, well-lit, no glare, solid background)
- Required to have current and valid driver's license if driving is an essential job function
- Must comply with all facility health and safety policies, including annual safety manual acknowledgment
- Weekend coverage every other weekend is required
