MRI Tech Travel/Contract Job in South Carolina
Location
- City: Easley, South Carolina
- Work setting: Outpatient location with required call rotation at hospital
Schedule
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM (40 hours/week)
- On-call requirements:
- One night per week: 11 PM – 7 AM
- Weekend nights (Saturday and Sunday): 7 PM – 7 AM, rotating approximately every 4th weekend
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Job Responsibilities & Work Environment
- Floating to other units or campuses as needed, limited to areas where qualified and competent
- Scrub color: Hunter Green
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (MR) certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Experience with Epic system
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Proof of identity: Driver’s license or state ID required immediately upon signing
- Background checks:
- 7-year background check within 12 months of start date
- Includes SS trace, alias searches, state and county checks for all places lived/worked in last 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and every 30 days thereafter
- Drug screening: 5-panel drug test within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Physical exam: Physician’s statement within 1 year attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Immunizations and health documents (as applicable):
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 90 days of start
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine if working/floating in high-risk areas
- Flu vaccine or approved exemption required annually (not required for remote workers)
- Other immunizations: Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (documentation or declination)
- Respirator fit test to be completed onsite during orientation
Training and Competency Requirements
- Completion of online orientation modules within 72 hours of assignment (approx. 12 hours)
- Annual competency exams including medication/pharmacology and core training (Parts I, II, III)
- Pass/fail testing for EKG/medication (if applicable)
- HIPAA and safety manual acknowledgment required annually
- Badge photo required prior to start (passport-style with specific background and no alterations)

- Floating policy must be signed and renewed annually
- Candidates must carry ID while on duty
- Agency staff may be required to float but only within qualified areas
- Documentation and certifications must be current and verifiable; placeholders generally not accepted except where noted
- Candidates with gaps over 30 days between contracts may require updated physical and TB testing
