Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Surgery
Location
- Dallas, Texas
- Unit: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Facility details: 5 ORs (3 open, 2 hybrid), 1st Floor, Heart Tower
- Patient ratio: 1:1
- EMR system: Meditech
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Work Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Day shift staff includes RN, CST, AT, PCT
- Night shift is on-call with a 45-minute response time
- Weekends and nights covered by call shifts
Unit Environment
- Number of staff: 15
- Equipment: Operating Room (OR) equipment
- Floating area: Spine OR
- Dress code: Scrub color/attire provided for OR staff

- Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG)
- Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
- Mitral Valve Replacement (MVR)
- Aortic replacements
- Vascular procedures
- Heart transplants
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, including within the last year
- Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
