Description

Registered Nurse - Home Health

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36


Job Description

  • Provide nursing care in a home health setting covering Franklin/Macon County area.
  • Call requirements: one week of night shifts (5pm-8am) every 6-7 weeks, including that weekend. No night visits from the office.
  • Typical patient load: 5-6 patients per day.
  • Work schedule: Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
  • Documentation system used: HCHB.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle for patient visits.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Home Health, including experience within the last year
  • Hospice experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • HHCCA - De-escalation Skills in Healthcare Setting
  • Experience working in a Home Health setting

  • Dress code: Nursing uniforms in navy or navy and white.
  • Unit staffing includes home health secretaries and tech availability.
  • No specialized equipment required.
  • Candidates should be prepared to follow unit-specific policies and guidelines.
