Description
Registered Nurse (MS/Tele) - Travel/Contract Position
Location: Massena, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week (12 hours each, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Details
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Unit does not accept first-time travelers
- Local candidates accepted only if residing more than 50 miles away
- Patient Diagnoses commonly encountered: COPD, Pneumonia, Non-specific abdominal pain, Cellulitis, Chest pain rule out
- Nurse-to-patient ratios:
- Days: 1:6
- Nights: 1:7
- Weekends: 1:8
- Electronic Health Record system: Epic (required)
- Scrubs: Any nursing uniform color allowed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- One completed travel nursing assignment
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Proficient in management of dysrhythmias
- Experience using Rapid Response and Code teams
- Skilled in High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) management
- Experience with Epic Electronic Health Record system
