Job Opportunity: Special Procedures Tech - Radiology
Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Unit Information
- Department: Interventional Radiology
- Number of Beds: 5 IR suites
- Shift: Day shift, typically 8 AM - 6:30 PM
- On-call: Required 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month, with possible holiday coverage
- Patient Ratios: 2 IR Techs and 1 IR RN per shift
- Equipment: 4 Siemens Bi-plane systems, 1 Siemens Single plane system
- EMR Systems: Meditech, GE Centricity PACS
Typical Procedures
- Neuro Interventional procedures including strokes, aneurysms, subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH), and dural venous sinus thrombosis (DVST)
- Level 1 Trauma Center procedures such as gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB), embolizations (EMBOs), gastrostomy tubes, nephrostomy, etc.
Required Qualifications
- Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience in Interventional Radiology within the last year
- Certified by the ARRT (RT (R))
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Knowledge of USP 800 Hazardous Drug Risk guidelines
- Must be able to work on-call as specified
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Neuro Interventional Radiology (strokes, aneurysms, SAH)
Work Environment & Culture
- Fast-paced Interventional Lab setting
- Self-motivated and team-oriented personality preferred
Dress Code
- Scrubs color: Black
- Adherence to unit policies and guidelines is required
