Job Opportunity: Cath Lab Tech

Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day (5 days/week, 8 hours/day, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Job Summary

Seeking a Cath Lab Tech with experience in catheterization and interventional radiology procedures. The role involves working in a cardiac catheterization lab with call responsibilities approximately 9-10 days per month. The facility uses EPIC electronic health records.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in New York
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
• Certification by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)

Additional Requirements & Information

• Call responsibility approximately 9-10 days per month
• Local residence restriction: candidates with primary residence within 50 miles in specified counties (including Saratoga, Albany, Schenectady, and others) are not eligible for new contracts
• Must complete facility-specific onboarding including:

  • Photo for badge (passport-style, plain background)
  • FCRA Authorization Release form
  • Lift assessment (typically 25 lb, may vary by position)
  • ECG study guide review
  • N95 OSHA questionnaire and fit test (quantitative test only accepted for 3M 1870 mask)
  • PPD questionnaire
  • Virtual orientation and clinical testing modules via HealthStream completed by the Wednesday prior to start date
  • Religious exemption request form if applicable for flu vaccine exemption
• Background checks including 7-year history, SS trace, nationwide, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG must be completed and updated annually
• Two professional references required (within 2 years of start date) for travel, allied, or per diem acute care roles
• Must pass advanced EKG/ECG test within 72 hours of signing contract; up to 3 attempts allowed with remediation support if needed
