Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position
Location: Atlantis, Florida
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel
Unit Information
- 42-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation (IP Rehab) unit
- Average of 12 staff per shift including Director, Lead PT, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Assistants
- Day shift staffing: Director, Lead PT, 4-5 PTs, 5-6 PTAs
- No night shifts
- Patient ratios vary based on volume
- Equipment includes treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes
- Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech
Work Schedule
- Days, 8-hour shifts
- One weekend per month required; weekdays off provided to balance schedule
- Must be able to work varied day shift hours
- Schedule may include weekends and holiday rotations based on surgical volume
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in Florida
- Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS certification
- Experience in Acute Care and Rehabilitation settings
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree

- Inpatient care for orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general medical/surgical populations
