Physical Therapist (PT) - Travel Position

Location

• Florida, Aventura

Employment Type

• Travel contract
• Contract length: 12 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Physical Therapy
• Number of beds: 467 (including a new 26-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility)
• Staff: Approximately 40 Physical Therapists
• Shift: Day shift only (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Call requirements: Rotating weekends
• Documentation system: Meditech
• Equipment used: treadmill, car simulators, RT300, Bioness systems, BITS

Typical Procedures

• 1.5 hour long treatment sessions
• Attending team conferences

Required Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in Florida
• Physical Therapist with 2 years of experience
• Physical Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS certification
• De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced unit and function independently

Work Hours

• Approximately 36 hours per week
