Description
Registered Nurse - ICU (Night Shift)
Location: Toppenish, Washington
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: Night (3 shifts per week, 12 hours each; 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Specialty: Registered Nurse - ICU
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years in ICU nursing
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- Minimum 2 years of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Background and Screening Requirements
- 10-year criminal background check including:
- SSN trace
- Alias/name changes
- Statewide searches for all states lived/worked in last 10 years
- National criminal and sex offender checks
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Education verification required
- Washington State Patrol (WSP/WATCH) search within 30 days of start
- Employment application and 3 recent employment references required
Health and Safety Requirements
- Physical exam with physician-signed health statement within 1 year of start
- Fit testing for N95 mask performed onsite; required annually
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine or signed declination
- Negative TB test (QGold or T-SPOT) within 30 days of start; chest X-ray within 1 year if previously positive
- Annual TB questionnaire required
- Immunity or vaccination documentation required for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
- Drug screen (10-panel) within 30 days of start; instant drug screens not accepted
- Seasonal flu vaccination required by November 1 (declinations accepted with mask requirement)
Facility-Specific Requirements
- Photo for badge (headshot, shoulders up, plain white background)
- Completion of Code of Conduct Acknowledgement prior to documentation due date
- Completion of new employee information sheet within 48 hours of contract signing
- Completion of student and contractor onboarding
- Statement of Confidentiality and Confidentiality and Use Agreement required
- Fit test onsite after orientation
- Influenza immunization consent form available if planning to receive flu shot onsite
Additional Notes
- Prior travel experience is not specified as required for this position.
- Behavioral health certifications such as CPI or ProAct are not required for this ICU role.
- Certifications must be current and cannot be updated onsite at the facility; candidates must have them prior to start.
