Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel)

Unit Information

Unit: 9 Tower Medical/Telemetry
Number of beds: 29
Staff per shift: 5 RNs and 3 Patient Care Techs (both day and night shifts)
Patient ratio: Approximately 1:6 (not guaranteed)
Equipment used: PCA pumps, IV pumps
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system: Meditech

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Minimum 1 year of telemetry experience within the last year
ACLS certification
BLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Meditech EMR

Typical Procedures

Management of central lines
Administration of medication drips

Ideal Candidate Attributes

Positive attitude and engagement
Independent with strong critical thinking skills
Prior patient care experience is a priority
