Location: Denver, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36 hours

Unit Information

Department: Clinical Laboratory (Microbiology testing for the Denver market)
Number of Staff: 24
Shifts:
- Day Shift (6:00 AM - 2:30 PM): 6 techs
- Mid Shift (9:30 AM - 8:00 PM): 1 tech
- Evening Shift (12:30 PM - 9:00 PM, rotating weekends): 4 techs
- Night Shift (9:30 PM - 5:00 AM): 2 techs
Equipment Used: Virtuos, Liat, Cepheid, Verigene, Biofire, manual gram stains, manual plating
EMR System: Meditech

Typical Procedures

Microbiology STAT testing
Gram stains
Culture set ups
Culture reading

Required Qualifications

Medical Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience
Medical Technologist experience within the last year
ASCP certification
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
