Job Opportunity: Allergy/Immunology Nurse (RN) - Contract

Position Overview

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN) in Allergy/Immunology clinic setting
• Employment Type: Contractor
• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts (07:30 - 17:00)
• Weekly Hours: 40 hours
• Contract Length: 13 weeks

Work Locations & Floating

• Primary work region: South Milwaukee area with priority at Oak Creek clinic (2 out of 4 shifts)
• Other clinic sites include Mayfair, Good Hope, and Summit within the territory
• Floating is required but limited to these locations; Good Hope site is farther north and may add travel distance

Patient Population & Workload

• Patient types: Allergy, immunology, asthma, and pulmonary patients
• Average patient load: 16-24 patients per shift
• Staffing: 2-3 RNs per shift

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
• Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum of 1 year of clinic experience within the last year, preferably in allergy/immunology
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience performing spirometry
• Experience administering immunotherapy (IT) injections
• Allergy and immunology clinical experience

Skills & Responsibilities

• Clinical skills: Triage, rooming patients, performing spirometry, administering immunotherapy injections
• Preferred skills: Comfort with pediatric patients and IV skills
• Charting system: EPIC electronic health record

Orientation & Scheduling

• Orientation: New Employee Orientation tailored to previous skillset
• Time off: Requires Nurse Manager approval
• Weekend rotation: Not applicable
• Holiday expectations: Monday through Thursday during regular shift hours

• Exam rooms: Approximately 4-5 rooms per site
• Scrub color: Any color allowed
• Parking: Free parking available in designated employee areas
