Job Opportunity: CT Technologist / Diagnostic Radiology

Job Description

• Dual responsibilities in CT and Diagnostic Radiology.
• Operate and manage at least two imaging modalities: CT and Digital X-ray.
• Perform patient positioning and immobilization to ensure optimal image quality.
• Evaluate CT orders for appropriateness using ACR Appropriateness Criteria.
• Competently perform image reviews and adjust technical factors as needed.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety procedures and departmental documentation standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform daily equipment inspections.
• Communicate effectively with Radiologists regarding normal and abnormal anatomy on scans.

Facility & Environment

• 100-bed hospital with Level IV Trauma designation.
• Located approximately 20 minutes from a major city.
• Patient care involves general cases; no neurosurgery or cardiac patients.
• Patient ratio: 1:1.
• Support staff includes imaging assistants, transport, receptionists, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, and telemetry monitoring technicians.

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Wisconsin
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ARRT-CT certification

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience with Toshiba Canon Aquilion CT scanners preferred.
• Siemens CT experience is helpful.

Orientation & Scheduling

• Facility and unit orientation: 2 shifts.
• Weekend rotation, on-call schedule, holiday expectations, and shift times are contract-specific.
• Return to office (RTO) requires manager approval.
• No floating required.

Technology & Equipment

• EMR system: Epic
• Imaging software: McKesson PACS

This role is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 1 year of hospital-based experience seeking a short-term contract with a supportive team environment and exposure to multiple imaging modalities.
