Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel)

Unit Information

Intermediate Care Unit with 37 beds
Staffing: 12 total staff per shift
- Day shift: 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, 1 Unit Clerk
- Night shift: 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs
Patient ratios:
- General: 1 RN to 6 patients
- Heart Cath patients: 1 RN to 4 patients (estimated, not guaranteed)
Equipment used: PCA pumps, IV pumps, chest tubes
Electronic Medical Record system: Meditech

Typical Procedures

Central line care
Medication drips
Heart catheterization recovery
Bubble studies

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Kansas
Telemetry experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Current certifications: ACLS, BLS
