Job Opportunity: Family Medicine Nurse (RN Clinic)

Position Details

• Employment Type: Contractor
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM – 5:15 PM
• Hours per Week: 40
• Weekend Rotation: No weekends
• On Call: No call
• Holiday Schedule: Closed on Christmas and New Year’s Day
• Orientation: Up to 1 week, based on comfort level

Job Description

• Provide nursing support in a family medicine clinic setting.
• Patient population ranges from pediatrics (preferred experience) to geriatrics.
• Deliver comprehensive preventive care including annual physical exams and vaccinations.
• Assist with diagnosis and treatment of acute illnesses and chronic diseases.
• Perform triaging, medication refills, phone call management, In Basket messaging, EKGs, injections, and help with rooming patients as needed.
• May float between nearby clinic locations (up to 16 miles away), with notice given either one week in advance or the day of depending on call-outs.

Patient Volume & Environment

• Clinic has 6 exam rooms.
• Two providers see approximately 18-23 patients each per day.
• Support team includes medical assistants, providers, and front desk staff.
• Free parking available.
• Scrub color: any color allowed.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin.
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Minimum 2 years of clinic nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
• Experience in a family medicine clinic setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with Epic electronic medical records system.

Additional Notes

• No patient ratios specified.
• No weekend or holiday shifts required.
• Up to 7 days of return-to-office (RTO) time may be approved if contract is extended accordingly.
