Description

Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, options: 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) or 4x10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
On Call/Weekend/Floating: None required

Job Description

Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab performing cardiac electrophysiology studies and procedures including:
- Head-Up-Tilt test
- Cardioversion
- Internal Loop Recorder placement
- Atrial flutter/fibrillation ablations
- Supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia ablations
- Device implants (Watchman, Aveir, Pacemaker, Defibrillator)
- Device explants and lead extractions
Average daily caseload: 18 cases
Charting system: Cerner, GE Cardiolab
Medication system: Pyxis
Scrubs provided
Facility type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital, Top 50 heart and vascular centers nationally

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, including experience within the last year
Certifications:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) certification
Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
EKG Technician experience, including EKG settings and interpretation
Experience with Cerner charting system
