Electrophysiology Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, options: 3x12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) or 4x10 hours (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
On Call/Weekend/Floating: None required


Job Description

  • Work in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab performing cardiac electrophysiology studies and procedures including:
    • Head-Up-Tilt test
    • Cardioversion
    • Internal Loop Recorder placement
    • Atrial flutter/fibrillation ablations
    • Supraventricular and ventricular tachycardia ablations
    • Device implants (Watchman, Aveir, Pacemaker, Defibrillator)
    • Device explants and lead extractions
  • Average daily caseload: 18 cases
  • Charting system: Cerner, GE Cardiolab
  • Medication system: Pyxis
  • Scrubs provided
  • Facility type: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital, Top 50 heart and vascular centers nationally

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Electrophysiology Technician, including experience within the last year
  • Certifications:
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
    • BLS (Basic Life Support)
    • CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) certification
  • Experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings
  • EKG Technician experience, including EKG settings and interpretation
  • Experience with Cerner charting system
