Description

PACU Registered Nurse (RN) - Contract in Colorado

Job Overview

Position: Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Gunnison, Colorado
Employment Type: Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Schedule: Three to four 10-hour shifts per week
On-Call: 1-2 days per week plus 1 weekend every 4 weeks
Hours per Week: Approximately 30 hours

Job Description

Provide professional nursing care as part of the surgical team within the Surgical Services Department.
Manage patient care during pre-operative and post-operative phases.
Monitor physiological patient responses throughout all phases of surgical care.
Maintain proficiency in planning, organizing, directing, executing, and evaluating patient care.
Complete required training, education, and orientation for new procedures and departmental processes.
Adhere to current nursing practice standards, professional guidelines, and relevant statutes and regulations.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado
Minimum 3 years of Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Certifications: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Colorado Adult Protective Services (CAPS) check required
Reliable transportation required due to lack of public transportation in the rural area

Additional Information

Prior travel experience is required for this position.
