Cardiac Sonographer (Contract)
Location: Nashua, New Hampshire
Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary
Under physician direction, perform a variety of cardiac ultrasound procedures requiring independent judgment and technical skill to produce diagnostic-quality exams for cardiologist or radiologist interpretation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform quality cardiac ultrasound exams in assigned areas following clinical protocols and policies.
- Assist cardiologists or physicians during invasive ultrasound procedures.
- Review physician orders and requisitions for procedure accuracy and special requests.
- Prepare and clean patient exam rooms and equipment.
- Maintain medical supplies and stock in exam rooms.
- Complete documentation and ensure proper exam charge processing.
- Support patient reception staff with patient information as needed.
- Participate in scheduled on-call rotation approximately every 5th or 6th week (1 week of on-call per rotation).
- Work one hospital holiday per year on a rotating basis; holiday and on-call shifts may be swapped with supervisor approval.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Echo Technologist license in New Hampshire.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Echo Technologist, including experience within the last year.
- Certification in cardiac ultrasound by ARDMS or CCI.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Orientation & Additional Information
- Up to 16 hours of orientation (unpaid).
- The employer reserves the right to cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract.
