Description

Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Travel/Contract)

Location: Pickerington, Ohio
Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
Shift: Night Shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

  • Perform diagnostic CT procedures following established guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine radiographic studies.
  • Ensure radiation safety for both operator and patient.
  • Use GE and Toshiba/Canon CT equipment.
  • Utilize EPIC EMR system.
  • Wear charcoal grey scrubs.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, with experience within the last year.
  • ARRT certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Work Schedule & Requirements

  • Night shift: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (1900-0730).
  • Every fourth weekend and every other holiday required.
  • Call rotation included.
  • Traveler’s permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the central facility to be eligible.

Certifications & Licenses

  • Ohio Radiographer State License required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Additional certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) not required unless specified by unit.

Background & Compliance

  • 7-year background check required within 1 year prior to start, including:
    • Social Security trace
    • County searches for last 7 years
    • Nationwide criminal search
    • Sex offender search
    • Sanctions screening (OIG/SAM)
  • Drug screening: Negative 9 or 10 panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start (marijuana tested; medical marijuana not accepted).
  • Physical exam within 2 years prior to start, indicating clearance to work without restrictions.
  • Respirator fit test documentation within 1 year of start (if applicable).
  • Immunizations and health screenings required:
    • TB test (2 PPDs, QGold, TSpot, or MTB within 6 months)
    • Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required; boosters if negative/equivocal.
    • Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines or documented history of disease.
    • Hepatitis B: Titer, series, or declination form accepted.
    • Flu vaccine or approved exemption required by specified deadlines.
  • Ohio-specific fingerprinting required for certain roles; candidates must comply if applicable.

Competency Requirements

  • Unit-specific competency exam required within 2 years of start.
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam must be completed within 7 days of signing and within 2 years of start.
  • Color blindness testing required; must pass 100% online or provide approval if failed.

Additional Requirements

  • Driver’s license required if job duties include driving.
  • Candidate agreement, confidentiality, and acceptable use policies must be signed prior to start.
  • Proof of name change documentation if applicable.
  • Employment application and skills checklist required.

Facility & Equipment Notes

  • Facility has 96 inpatient beds, 6 operating rooms, 2 procedure rooms, labor and delivery with special care nursery, 20-bay infusion clinic, and 12-bed ICU/acuity adaptable unit.
  • GE CT equipment currently in use, along with Toshiba/Canon.
