Description

Cardiovascular Intensive Care Nurse (CVICU RN) - Night Shift

Location: Great Falls, Montana
Employment Type: Contract (13 weeks)
Hours per Week: 36


Position Overview

  • Provide care to hemodynamically stable or predictably unstable patients in a cardiac medical surgical unit (10-bed CVICU).
  • Care for immediate post-operative open heart patients from day one.
  • Patient populations include pediatrics, pre/post PCI care, pacemaker, revascularization, carotid endarterectomy, thoracotomy, CHF, COPD, DKA, renal failure, DVT, PE, sepsis, and various surgical cases.
  • Operate advanced medical equipment such as central lines, chest tubes, nasogastric tubes, continuous bladder irrigation, arterial lines (A-lines), multiple IVs, and provide short-term ventilation support.
  • Assess and implement established policies and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Act as a clinical leader and assist with precepting staff.
  • Provide direct patient care from admission through discharge, including discharge planning.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Montana
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 2 years CVICU experience, including experience within the last year
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

  • No prior travel experience required.
