Description
Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Details
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Hours per shift: 12 hours (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Weekend schedule only (3x12 hour shifts)
- No on-call required
- Scrubs provided
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oklahoma
- Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS
- PALS
Required Certifications & Licenses
- Additional certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., NRP, CHEMO, TNCC)
Compliance & Documentation Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License or State ID
- Background checks including:
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start (includes SS trace, county searches, nationwide, sex offender, education verification)
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks upon hire
- Education verification (highest level of education must be verified)
- NURSYS verification for RN license
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, must be renewed annually
- Immunizations and health screenings:
- Adult TDAP vaccine within 10 years (no declinations except approved medical exemptions)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
- Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines required
- Hepatitis B: Positive titer, series, or declination accepted
- Varicella: Positive titer, 2 vaccines, or documented chickenpox history required
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (Oct 1 – Mar 31)
- Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Unit-specific skills checklist required annually
- Work history verification for the past 7 years
- Completed employment application/resume
Additional Notes
- Candidates must be willing to work charge nurse shifts as needed
- No prior travel experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
- Orientation and safety manual acknowledgment required
- Photo for badge must be provided
- Some certifications and competencies may be required as applicable to the role and facility policies
