CT Technologist (General Imaging)

Job Type

• Contractor
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 8-hour day shift
• Hours per week: 40

Patient Population & Setting

• Patient types: Inpatient, outpatient, Emergency Department (ED)
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• No floating required

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Illinois
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Certifications: BLS, IEMA, ARRT (CT)

Skills & Responsibilities

• Competent in routine CT procedures including chest, abdomen/pelvis, pulmonary embolism (PE), brain, and head scans
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with ancillary support and other CT technologists
• Perform portable exams in the ED and inpatient units
• Manage approximately 10-12 exams per 8-hour shift with some staffing overlap for assistance

Orientation & Support

• General orientation includes badge and login access
• 24–40 hour unit-specific orientation
• 24/7 Respiratory Therapist and Hospitalist support on the unit

Technology & Equipment

• Experience with EMR system EPIC preferred
• Use of GE CT Revolution, GE CT HD750, GE CT Light Speed scanners
• GE PACS system

Scheduling & Time Off

• No weekend rotation or on-call duties
• Holiday work expectations vary
• Time off approval through Lead CT Technologist and Manager
