Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech
Location: Carmel, Indiana
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
Job Description
- Outpatient setting
- Mammography experience required for screening procedures
- Preferred experience in diagnostic mammography, stereotactic biopsies, and digital mammography
- PACS skills preferred
- Experience with Cerner and Hologic Dimensions systems required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in Indiana
- Minimum 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Completion of at least one travel assignment
- Experience in an outpatient setting
- Experience with Cerner system
- Certifications:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
Compliance and Documentation Requirements
- Background checks including 7-year history, SSN trace, county/state/national checks, and education verification
- Drug screening: Negative 10-panel drug test within 12 months of start date (instant tests not accepted)
- Physical exam completed within 12 months of start date
- Fit mask test within 12 months of start date (N95 or approved respirators)
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Rubeola (Measles): Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
- Mumps: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
- Rubella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted)
- Varicella: Positive titer or 2 vaccines (no declinations accepted; history not accepted)
- Hepatitis B: Series, titer, or signed declination required
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap: Strongly recommended (not required)
- Tuberculosis screening within 1 year of start date (PPD, QuantiFERON-TB Gold, or T-SPOT)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (9/30 - 3/31)
- Color blind exam (Ishihara or equivalent) with minimum 100% score on online test
Additional Requirements
- Minimum of 2 professional references from recent employment verified within 2 years; references must be from charge, manager, supervisor, or higher
- Current employment application with full work history and explanations for any gaps over 30 days (covering last 7 years)
- Skills checklist completed within 12 months and updated annually
- Completion of facility-specific compliance, confidentiality, and orientation documents prior to start
