Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Pittsfield, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Evening (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM), Monday to Friday, with possible weekend/holiday coverage
Hours: 40 hours per week (8 hours per day)
Job Description
- Seeking 2 CT Technologists to join the team.
- Work schedule primarily Monday through Friday evenings.
- Weekend and holiday shifts may be required as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Massachusetts.
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification.
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID).
- Emergency Contact Form prior to start.
- CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) release.
- Standard background checks including 7-year search of locations lived/worked/school, sex offender registry, EPLS/GSA/SAM, and HHS/OIG checks (all updated annually).
- Massachusetts Nurse Aide Registry Search (for tracking purposes).
- Physical exam within 1 year of start date.
- Fit testing for 3M N95 Model 1860 mask (required for all units including OR).
- 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start (instant drug screens not accepted).
- Immunizations and titers:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years.
- Negative TB test (QuantiFERON Gold or TSpot within 6 months) or 2-step PPD within 6 months; chest X-ray required if prior positive TB.
- Positive titers for Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (declination accepted only with low titer and must complete facility-specific declination form).
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season (October to May).
- Annual COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption; proof of vaccination required prior to start.
- Photo for badge: headshot style with grey background, JPG format.
- Facility-specific forms including flu and COVID exemption forms, TB questionnaire (if positive TB test), and Hepatitis B declination if applicable.
Certifications & Competencies
- BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross preferred).
- ACLS certification preferred but not required for this position.
- Color blind testing (Ishihara test) required prior to start.
- Competency exams as applicable to profession, with minimum passing score of 80%.
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required as applicable.
References & History
- Two professional references required (preferably recent work references within 3 years).
Additional Notes
- Scrub color is flexible; scrubs provided for OR if applicable.
- Pass/fail testing on EKG/medication may be required on first day of orientation.
- Candidates must acknowledge pass/fail testing policies.
This position is ideal for CT Technologists with at least 2 years of experience, holding the necessary Massachusetts licensure and certifications, who are available for evening shifts and can comply with comprehensive health and background screening requirements.
