Description

Registered Nurse - Telemetry (Travel Assignment)

Location: Wichita, Kansas
Unit: Neuro Trauma
Unit Details:

36 beds
70 total staff (Day shift: 7 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, 1 Unit Clerk; Night shift: 7 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs)
Patient ratio approximately 1:6 (not guaranteed)
Equipment includes Kangaroo Pumps
EMR system: Meditech / CPN
Typical procedures: Medication drips, Bubble studies, EEG

Position Details

Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per week: 36
Shift: 7 PM to 7 AM

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications

Prior Meditech EMR experience
Experience traveling to large trauma facilities
