Operating Room Registered Nurse - Indiana
Job Details
- Location: Marion, Indiana
- Employment Type: Travel/Contract
- Contract Length: 8 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 6:35 AM to 3:05 PM (40 hours/week)
- On Call: Required one day per week
- Start Date: ASAP
Required Experience & Licensure
- Valid RN license in Indiana
- Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) nursing experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Required Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Heart Association (Instructor, Provider, or RQI accepted)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) – Preferred for this role (required for critical care, ER, telemetry, respiratory, and float positions)
Required Documentation & Compliance
- Government-issued photo ID (Driver’s License or State ID)
- Criminal background check within 30 days of start (7-year search including SSN trace, counties, national criminal, and sex offender registries)
- Annual EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Respirator fit test within 3 months of start and annually thereafter (specific mask types accepted)
- Tdap vaccine or declination (no expiration required)
- Negative TB test (2-step PPD, Qgold, or Tspot) within 3 months of start or clear chest X-ray if previously positive
- Immunization or positive titer documentation for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Hepatitis B (titer or declination accepted)
- 5-panel or higher drug screen within 30 days of start
- Seasonal flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct-April) unless religious or medical exemption approved
Additional Requirements
- Completion of annual mandatory facility-specific competencies (online program, approx. 40 minutes)
- Annual skills checklist
- Two professional references within the last 3 years
- Facility-specific dress code review
- Facility IT access form completion
This position offers a structured day shift schedule with a defined on-call requirement and requires compliance with comprehensive health, safety, and credentialing standards.
