Description
Registered Nurse (MS/Telemetry) - Travel Position
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Shift (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM), 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
Hours per Week: 36
Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
Float Pool: Must be willing to float between multiple departments and facilities within the region
Job Description
- Provide patient care on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry units using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies.
- Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care.
- Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education.
- Delegate patient care priorities based on staff education and experience.
- Provide direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Patient-to-nurse ratio approximately 6:1.
- Cerner EMR experience is required.
- Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed).
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Arizona
- Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing
- Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with Cerner EMR
